Kevin E. Best

Kevin E. Best age 47 of Metamora, Illinois passed away on Sunday Dec. 8, 2013 at his residence. He was born on May 15, 1966 in Peoria to Warren A. and Patricia J. (Jones) Best. He is married to Jennifer Duffee Surviving are three daughters, Kaitlyn, Eryn and Makayla all of Glen Carbon, IL., three brothers, Brian (Mari) Best of Roanoke, Dave (Amy) Best and Larry (Heather) Best both of Metamora and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Becky Robinson, two brothers Brad and Dean Best and a niece Kaylee Best. Kevin was a 1984 graduate of Metamora Township High School. Served for eight years with the United States Marine Corps six of those with the Drum & Bugle Corps and during that time he performed a solo percussion performance for President Ronald Regan. He was a OTR Truck Driver for Brooks Transportation in Iowa for 5 years and was owner of his own trucking business for eight years. He then worked as a coal miner for five years for American Coal Company before his back injury. Kevin was a Tech Guru who enjoyed time with his daughters, reading, online gaming and the Corp!
