Kenneth Ehrmann

Kenneth R. Ehrmann 69, of Metamora, Illinois passed away at 1:18am Wednesday Nov. 6, 2013 at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. He was born March 5, 1944 in Evansville, Indiana to Ralph R. and Armella M. (Gossman) Ehrmann. Surviving are his children, Rick Weldon of Metamora, Scott Weldon of Dunlap, IL., Debra (Denny Wilson) Lairson of Quincy, IL., Stephanie (Walker) Cole of Metamora; grandchildren, Dylan and Karlee Lairson and Shelby and Logan Cole. One brother, Michael Ehrmann of Fishers, IN., and one sister Jane Blankenship of Greenwood, IN also survive him. His parents preceded him in death. Ken was a 1962 graduate of Rex Mundi High School in Evansville, IN. He was an over the road trucker driver for Preston 151 Line Trucking Company. He also worked in maintenance and cooked for St. Mary?s Grade School in Metamora in addition to being a former Woodford County Sheriff?s Deputy. He was a member of Teamsters Local 627 in Peoria, the River Valley Sportsman?s Club and St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church. Ken was an avid bass fisherman with a close connection to the annual charity bass fishing tournament hosted by Operating Engineers Local 148, benefiting the Cardinal Glennon Children?s Hospital A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00am Saturday Nov. 9, 2013 at St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church in rural Metamora with Father Neri Greskoviak officiating. Recitation of the rosary will be 4:30pm Friday with visitation to follow from 5pm until 8pm at Mason Funeral Home Germantown Hills Chapel. Burial will be in St. Mary of Lourdes Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, or to the Cardinal Glennon Children?s Hospital, with checks payable to OE 148 Charitable Fund, Inc., 2929 S. Jefferson Ave. St. Louis, MO 63118.
