Kelly Marie Conrad

Kelly Marie Conrad, 52, of Metamora, IL passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, IL surrounded by family and friends. She was called home to be with her Father in heaven to whom she sang His praises right up to the end. She was born on May 25, 1963 in Mendota, IL, the devoted daughter of Earle R. and Nellie R. (Bennett) Boner. She married Mike Conrad on September 2, 1989 in Mendota, IL. She was an amazing wife, mother, and devoted friend. She was the proud mom to three wonderful boys, Matthew, whom she chose and came home to her from South Korea, and her twin blessings, Kyle and Kirby, all still at home. She was preceded in death by her brother Marty, her father and her mother. She is survived by her husband, Mike, her three boys, and her brother Kirby (Suzanne) Boner. Kelly graduated from ISU with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and then went on to get her Masters Degree in Counselor Education. After starting out as a 5th grade teacher at Holy Cross in Mendota she then moved on to become the Director of Admissions at IVCC in Oglesby for many years. As the family grew she finished out her career as the household director of her family which included promotions as Education Leader and Spiritual Director. Kelly will be remembered as a caring and devoted friend. She was a fantastic communicator who always knew how to stay in touch and show genuine concern for others lives. Give her five minutes and she could practically learn your life story and remember it. She will live on with so many people. She was a member of Willow Hill United Methodist Church in Germantown Hills, IL where a Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Willow Hill United Methodist Church with Reverend Ken Hogren officiating. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers memorials in her name may be given to Willow Hill United Methodist Church who provided amazing assistance to her family throughout her ordeal.
