Katherine A. "Kathy" Tomlinson, 70, of Lowpoint, IL, passed away at 1:19 am on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.

She was born on March 24, 1954, in Peoria, the daughter of Lloyd and Helen Hittle Sherman. She married Robert Tomlinson Sr. in Spring Bay, IL, on June 8, 1973.

Surviving are her husband and their children Robert Tomlinson Jr. of Peoria, Tracy Tomlinson of Lowpoint, IL, Timothy Tomlinson of Lomax, IL, Jodie (Marty) Tisdale of Manito, and Kimberly Nelson of Pekin, Reta Kacir of Lowpoint and Roger (Tiffany) Tomlinson of Low Point. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by one brother Charles Robertson and one sister, Stella Phillips, both of Ava, MO. She was preceded in death by one grandson Ryan Nelson, one brother and four sisters.

Kathy's  professional journey was marked by her years of commitment to the Paradice Casino in East Peoria, where she was a figure in the food service department. Her warm smile and kind demeanor made her a favorite among both staff and patrons. In addition to her role at the casino, Kathy served the town of Lowpoint reading water meters for many years. Her thorough work and friendly interactions with residents exemplified her strong work ethic and community spirit.

Cremation Rites have been accorded. A time to celebrate her life will be Sunday, March 23, 2025, at the Washburn American Legion Post 661 beginning at 4 pm. Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington has been entrusted with arrangements.
