Kathleen E. Dean

Kathleen E. Dean, 90, of East Peoria, IL passed away at 3:30 am on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born on March 24, 1926 in East Peoria, IL to Theodore and Arvilla (Collins) Rohman, Sr. She married Louis D. Dean on August 5, 1950 in Peoria, IL. He survives. Also surviving are her children Edward Dean of East Peoria, Jack (Linda) Dean of LowPoint, Marcia (Gary) Staples of Peoria, and Roger Dean of Metamora; daughter-in-law Andi Dean of Washington; grandchildren Paul (Beth) Dean, Patrick (Amber) Dean, and Alison (Kevin) Reynolds Staples; five great-grandchildren; and nephew Mickie Rohman of East Peoria. She was preceded in death by brother Theodore G. "Bud" Rohman. Kathleen was heavily involved with both the North Pekin Amvets Ladies Auxiliary and the Spring Bay American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Mason Funeral Home Germantown Hills Chapel in Germantown Hills. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 11:00 am at Spring Bay Cemetery in Spring Bay with Father Greg Jozefiak officiating. Luncheon will follow the graveside service at the Spring Bay American Legion Post 1115. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Spring Bay American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, 500 Legion Lane, Spring Bay, IL 61611 or North Pekin Amvets Ladies Auxiliary, 680 Radio City Drive, North Pekin, IL 61554.
