Karen L. (Schefelbein) Rebbec

Karen L. Rebbec, 63, of Mapleton, IL, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. Karen was born on December 13, 1960, in Peoria, the daughter of the late John and Ketra (Gilbert) Schefelbein. She married Brent Rebbec on May 6, 1989, at Arcadia Presbyterian Church in Peoria. He survives. She is also survived by her children, Nicole Rebbec of Peoria and Brandon Rebbec of Mapleton; and her brother, William (Rita) Schefelbein of Tremont. Karen worked for Multi-Ad Services until the birth of her second child in 1999. During her time there, she made many life-long friends and created a deep impression on those around her. She devoted her life to her beloved children and family, and all of her friends would remark that she was a shining, gracious, and sweet woman who would do anything to help somebody.
