Karen L. Mccullough

Karen L. McCullough, 55, of Metamora, IL, passed away at 7:05 pm on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at her residence.  She was born on August 7, 1965 in Peoria, IL to Arthur M. and Nancy L. (Smith) Bernius.  She married Daryl J. McCullough on January 10, 1996 in Metamora, IL.

Surviving are her husband, Daryl of Metamora; mother, Nancy Bernius of Metamora; three brothers, Greg Bernius of Buda, TX, Jeff (Karen) Bernius of Portland, OR, and Doug Bernius of Metamora; and two nephews, Nate and Cole Bernius.  She was preceded in death by her father.

Karen was the assistant produce manager at the Metamora IGA.  She enjoyed traveling out west to the mountains and being outdoors and going to the woods in the spring time during mushroom hunting season.  She enjoyed gardening and working with her flowers.  She loved our Oldsmobile cars.  Karen loved all types of animals, especially dogs and cats.  She enjoyed antiquing and collecting horse figurines and country farm books and decorated her home with mostly antique furniture.

Cremation rites have been accorded.  A Memorial Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel.  Burial of Ashes will be held at a later date in St. Mary's Cemetery in Metamora.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Emergency 116 Ambulance Service, P.O. Box 36, Metamora, IL 61548 or to TAPS (Tazewell Animal Protective Society), 100 Taps Lane, Pekin, IL 61554.  Online condolences at www.masonfuneralhomes.com.
