Karen Ann Bundy

Karen Ann Bundy, 65, of Metamora, IL, passed away at 12:10 pm on Friday, June 19, 2026, at her residence.

She was born on August 23, 1960, in Peoria, IL, to Thomas L. and Judith A. (DeLap) Bundy.

Surviving are her sisters, Diane (Victor) Hull and Paula (Leon) Klein both of Metamora; brother, Gary (Christina) Bundy of Louisville, KY; sister-in-law, Terry (Brian) Kleen of Metamora; many nieces and nephews; one great-niece; and one great-nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Thomas Bundy, and nephew Peyton Bundy.

Karen worked for Metamora Grade School for 30 years. She spent her days working in the school kitchen and her evenings as a janitor, dedicating much of her life to serving her community. In her free time, she enjoyed NASCAR races, shopping trips, vacations, and gathering with family and friends. Karen had a special bond with her nieces and nephews, whom she helped raise and loved as her own. Her kindness, sense of humor, and caring heart will be remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at Oakwood Cemetery in Metamora with Pastor Gary Salm officiating.
