K. Lorraine Rohman

K. Lorraine Rohman, 74, of Metamora, IL passed away at 10:20 am on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Unity Point Health-Methodist in Peoria. She was born on December 31, 1942 in Conley, Kentucky to Hershel and Ethel (Whitt) Sturgell. She married Franklin G. Rohman on October 7, 1961 in Morganfield, KY. He passed away on July 18, 2004. Surviving are her children Donna (Bill) Reich and Barry Rohman both of Metamora, Lisa (Brian) Connaughton of Washington, Rhonda (Mark) Jackson of Astoria, IL, and Dan (Pragna) Rohman of St. Charles, IL; grandchildren Lindsay (Matt) Gibson, Mason Reich, Jacob Rohman, Chelsea and Beau Connaughton, Abe Jackson, and Nikhil and Neil Rohman; great-grandchildren Annabelle, Bodie, and Jude; brother Eddie Sturgell of Louisville, KY; sister Sharon Spivey of Matoon, IL; and special friend Randy Randall of Metamora. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, and four brothers. Lorraine was a cook for Metamora Grade School District #1. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Metamora. She was a Cardinal fan, avid reader, loved fishing and doing arts and crafts. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Metamora with Father Greg Jozefiak officiating. Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Monday, January 16, 2017 at 3:30 pm at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel with visitation to follow from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Metamora. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the American Diabetes Association, 2501 Chatham Road, Suite 210, Springfield, IL 62704.
