Justin E. Staelens

Justin Edward Staelens, 35, of Germantown Hills, IL passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at his home. He was born on March 6, 1982 in Peoria, IL to Will and Lana (Larimore) Staelens.

Survivors include his loving parents, as well as his sister Rachel Staelens (Kenneth Roberts) of Chicago, IL and his three children, the loves of his life, Ian, Issac and Abigail Staelens, all of Germantown Hills, born from his marriage to Sherry Neill. He had a large, extended family, a supportive girlfriend, and an extensive group of friends, who will all miss him greatly.

Justin was a union roofer with Kreiling Roofing Company of Peoria. He received his Associates of Science Degree from Illinois Central College, and he had plans to pursue a degree in Environmental Sciences. Justin was a great lover of adventure and family. He was happiest when he was either in the woods or on the water.

Per the family's request, cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Mason Funeral Home Germantown Hills Chapel, 375 Old Germantown Road, Germantown Hills, with Reverends Daniel Larimore and Bob Burton officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until time of his service on Wednesday at the funeral home. The family asks that attendees wear whatever best celebrates their memories of Justin. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to an Educational Fund that has been created for Justin's children, Ian, Issac, and Abigail through CEFCU.
