WASHINGTON?June E. White, 91, formerly of Washington, passed away at 3:20 p.m. on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at Proctor Endowment Home in Peoria. June was born on June 26, 1920 in Peoria to Guy and Lily Rodberg Henninger. She married Charles T. White in Peoria on August 6, 1945. He preceded her in death. Among those surviving are two sons; Dave (Lynda) White of Groveland and Chris (Kim) White of Mapleton; ten grandchildren, Kate White Warren, Abigail White Plachy, Suzanne Norlin Hoekstra, John Norlin, Tamela Adams Tiefenthaler, Bruce Adams, Jr., Christina Adams Parrish, Jon Freas, Devin Freas, Katherine Oberbillig; fourteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was also preceded in death by her parents, brother and one grandson. June was a member of Grace and Peace Lutheran Church in Peoria and a former member of St. Mark?s Lutheran Church in Washington. She worked at Caterpillar as an illustrator on the parts catalog, as a delineator for landscape architects Scruggs & Hammond, a copywriter for Foster & Gallagher catalog and later in the drafting room for former local architect Jack Hackler. In her spare time she loved to paint with watercolors, especially painting florals and barns from the Washington area. Cremation rites have been accorded and private burial service will be in Hillcrest Memory Gardens, south of Washington with Pastor Wayne Shelksohn officiating. Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington is assisting the family in arrangements. A luncheon will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 12:30 p.m at Five Points, Room D, in Washington with a celebration of life service following. Memorials for June may be directed to either church where she was a member.
