WASHINGTON?A. June Warren, 76, of Washington, passed away at 3:15 a.m., Thursday, August 25, 2011 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. June was born on October 11, 1934 in Indianapolis to John and Violet Chapman Basham. She married Walter M. Warren in Lincoln, Nebraska on January 23, 1961. Walter died on February 2, 2004 in Texas. Among those surviving are three daughters, Cynthia (Norman) Lewis of Sinclair, Wyoming, Gaylene Sue (Terry) Frye of Burnt Prairie, Illinois and Lisa Warren of Washington; two sons, James Karmizin of Santa Fe, New Mexico and Walter (Cynthia) Warren of Horn Lake, Mississippi, 14 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. June was also preceded in death by one daughter, Chris Warren Garcia and two sisters. June had been an RSVP Volunteer in Peoria for many years and also was a member of the Church of Christ in East Peoria. She will always be remembered as a loving mother who enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Funeral services for June will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Mason-White Funeral Home with Preacher Zach Cox officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded following services on Saturday and burial of ashes will be in Glendale Cemetery in Washington at a later date.
