Julia Annalee Thommen

Julia Annalee Thommen, 97, of Washington, IL, formerly of Germantown Hills, IL passed away at 12:07 am on Friday, July 24, 2026, at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, IL.

She was born on June 2, 1929, in Greene Township, IL, to George T. and Myrtle E. (Johnson) Letsinger. She married Roy Milton Thommen on July 16, 1949, in El Paso, IL. They were high school sweethearts and were married for 73 years before Roy’s death on December 20, 2022.

Surviving are her daughter, Marjorie (Dennis) Hahn of East Peoria, IL; two grandchildren, Mark (Michelle) Hahn of Washington, IL and Julie (Tom) Dingledine of Germantown Hills; and six great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Evan, and Amelia Hahn and Tyler, Jaxson, and Ashton Dingledine. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Annalee was a self-employed beautician from 1947 until 1985. She was a member of Christian Union Church in Metamora. She enjoyed baking, crafting, sewing, fishing, and dancing with her husband. She and Roy were very active in square dancing.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at Christian Union Church with Pastor Gary Salm officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until service time, also on Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Roanoke Township Cemetery in Roanoke, IL.
