Judy M. (Mercer) Luke

Judy M. Luke, 80, of East Peoria, IL, passed away at 7:43 pm on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL.

She was born on June 17, 1943, in Nebo, KY, to Everett and Vonnie (Stobaugh) Mercer. She married Robert C. "Chuck" Luke on June 28, 1959 in East Peoria, IL.

Surviving are her husband, Chuck of East Peoria; children, Greg (Debbie) Luke of Metamora, IL, Tina (Dave) Muller of Metamora, IL, and Melinda (Neil) Lapham of Tulsa, OK; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; and brother, Jim (Edith) Mercer of Floyds Knob, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, three brothers, and three sisters.

Judy had worked as a nurse at Proctor Hospital in Peoria until her retirement. She enjoyed being a nurse and wrote a poem for Nurses Week that now resides at the flagpole at Carle Health-Proctor Hospital. Judy was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in East Peoria and played the piano at her church. She was a member of the Red Hatters and loved her family immensely.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 am on Monday, March 11, 2024 at Mason Funeral Home Germantown Hills Chapel with Reverend Mark Abbott officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until service time, also on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Spring Bay Cemetery in Spring Bay, IL.
