METAMORA...Judith A. Wilson, 72, of Metamora, passed away at 6 p.m., Wednesday, December 28, 2011. Judy was born on June 10, 1939 in Factoryville, Pennsylvania to Alva and Ruth (Dorothy) Capwell Cook. She married William L. Wilson on June 7, 1959 in Metamora. Bill survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Tammy (David) Legel and Lori Haller, both of Morton; one son, Thomas (Jill) Wilson of Washington; one brother, Ron (Kay) Cook of Hurricane, Utah; an aunt, Floretta Blachek of Metamora and six loving grandchildren, Andrew and Ashley Legel, Max and Reed Haller and Chase and Tanner Wilson. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Laura May Wilson, her parents and her step-father, Kenneth Crandall. Judy had been a realtor with Gwen Phillips & Associates of Morton. She had also worked for Bloomington Federal Savings & Loan and later retired as Vice-President of Teller Operations at Bank One in Peoria. She had been a Girl Scout Leader and involved with the Kickapoo Council of Girl Scouts for over 10 years. Judy was an affiliate member of the Peoria Board of Realtors and member of Women?s Council of Realtors. In her spare time and retirement Judy loved to travel the country in the motorhome and spend time swimming, fishing and camping. Her other activities included painting, ceramics and sewing in addition to many hours spent on genealogy research. A memorial service for Judy will be held on January 4, 2012 at 7 p.m. at Mason Funeral Home in Metamora with Pastor Gary Salm officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded.
