Juanita M. Gann, 100, of Washington, IL passed away peacefully in her sleep on the evening of Monday, March 5, 2018 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. She was born on June 25, 1917 in Milton, Kentucky to Harry and Myrtle Link. She married Marvin Gann on December 15, 1945 shortly after his discharge from the U.S. Army following World War II. He preceded her in death in February, 2000. Daughter Sharon Selburg also preceded her in death on October 30, 2016.
Surviving are her daughter Rose (David) Morse; sons Larry (Lore) Gann, Russel (Janice) Gann, and John Gann; twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Juanita was a dedicated homemaker who took great pride in taking care of her family and home. She had a life-long love of reading and learning, and remained active and independent until the very end of her lengthy life. A devout woman, she was a member of the Sunnyland Nazarene Church in Sunnyland, IL.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 3:00 pm at St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Cemetery in Metamora, IL with Reverend Randy Lingenfelter officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the American Heart Association Midwest Affiliate, 208 South LaSalle Street, Suite 1500, Chicago, IL 60604.
