Joyce Elaine (Cochran) Holman

Joyce Elaine (Cochran) Holman, 86, of Metamora, IL, passed away at 1:33 am on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at Snyder Village in Metamora.

She was born on May 24, 1936, in Peoria, IL, to William O. and Dorothy Mae (Keller) Cochran. She married William Dwain Holman on August 30, 1953 in Peoria, IL. He passed away on January 18, 2000.

Surviving are her children, Rick (Jan) Holman of Metamora, Steve (Mary) Holman of Terre Haute, IN, Julie Schultz of Chicago, and Eric (Danni) Holman of Metamora; twenty-three grandchildren, including spouses; thirty-one great-grandchildren; and brother, William (Theresa) Cochran of Bellevue, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Dennis Holman, daughter Jennifer Holman, and three sisters.

Joyce was a homemaker and mother for her six children. In her early years, she worked as a computer programmer at Illinois Mutual and also as a key punch director at Morton Buildings. She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Peoria and the Central Illinois Head Support Group.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, June 13, 2022 at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel with Pastor John Hopwood officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to her service on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hickory Point Cemetery in Metamora.
