Joshua Blackwell

Joshua Michael Blackwell, 30, of Washington passed away unexpectedly Saturday, February 20, 2016 at his residence. He was born on May 8, 1985 in Marquette, MI the son of Willis Blackwell and Diane Scott. He married Courtney Kuhn on April 10, 2010 in Washington, IL. Surviving are his wife, three daughters Gabby (11), Kyleigh (9) and Khloe (7) all of Washington, his mother Diane (David) Scott of Washington and his father Willis (Stephanie) Blackwell of Mount Washington, KY. Also surviving are two brothers Jason (Katie) Blackwell of Washington and Chad Blackwell (Erica Crane) of Independence, KY. as well as his maternal grandmother Sonya Betson of Washington, IL and paternal grandmother Jeanette Blackwell of Peoria. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Charles Betson and paternal grandfather William Blackwell II. He was a hands on father, his girls were the light of his life and one of his greatest joys was watching his daughter Gabby play volleyball. Josh was a lifelong fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, Dallas Cowboys and UFC. Cremation rites have been accorded. A time to celebrate Josh's life will be Wednesday, February 24th from 11am until 3pm at the Bartonville American Legion, 4501 Airport Rd in Bartonville.
