Joseph Andrew Miles Jr

Joseph Andrew Miles Jr., 69 of Spring Bay, Illinois passed away at 4:00pm Tuesday February 12, 2013 at his residence. He was born Sept. 11, 1943 in Maunie, IL., to Joseph A.Miles Sr. and T. Irene (Bowers) Pratt. He married Donna (Jancola) Lambie on Oct. 11, 1980 in Spring Bay and she survives. Surviving are his children, Joseph Miles of E. Peoria, Mitchell (Joni) Miles of Shelbyville TN., Shannon (David Sampson) Miles of E. Peoria, and step daughter Jodi (Chris) White of Germantown Hills, 15 grandchildren and one great granddaughter; one brother, James (Edith) Miles of Joplin MO., sisters, Dorothy Whitaker of Belton TX., and Mary (Larry) Harrelson of Harrisburg, IL., and many nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by his parents, beloved step father Bob Pratt a brother John Miles and sister Elva Ballard and step son Brian Lambie. Joe was a Truck Driver for Caterpillar working for 30 years and retiring in 1994, he then drove for Calihan & Company Meats for ten years. Hobbies were fishing, hunting, gardening, woodworking, playing poker and spending time with his grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 1:00pm Saturday Feb. 16, 2013 at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel with Rev. Dr. Joe Richard officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00am until service time at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded after services with burial of ashes in Spring Bay Cemetery at a later date.
