Joseph B. Gough, 86, of Dunlap passed away at 11:30 pm on Friday, October 23, 2015 at Heartland Health Care in Peoria. He was born on June 18, 1929 in Shelbina, MO to Henry Glenn and Mollie Pearl (Hogsett) Gough. He married MaDonna M. Baltzell on April 11, 1953 at the Hamilton Air Force Base in Hamilton, CA. She survives. Also surviving are daughters Lynda (Bill) Coffey of French Lick, IN, Patricia (Alex) Peterman of Ocklawaha, FL and Melanie (Jerry) Waldschmidt of Metamora; nine grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by son Phillip Gough and brothers Bill and Bob Gough. Joseph joined Le-Tourneau-Westinghouse in 1948 and served there in several accounting positions until entering the Air Force in 1950, serving as a staff sergeant. In 1958 he returned to Peoria as a special projects accountant and later as accounts payable supervisor until his appointment as chief accountant of the company's Georgia plant. He then returned to Peoria in 1960 and was named general accounting manager in 1964. In 1966 Joseph was named controller of the firm's Indianapolis plant. After 42 years of service, he retired in 1990. Joseph was an avid golfer, auto racing fan and enjoyed watching football. Cremation rites have been accorded.
