John G. Pappas

John G. Pappas, 82, of Washington passed away at 4:00pm, Friday, January 26, 2018, at his residence.

John was born on June 29, 1935 in Peoria, son of George and Sarah Eagle Pappas. He married Hazel Brantley in Peoria in 1963.

Surviving are his wife of Washington, three daughters Joanne Pappas of Waskom, TX Debra Ballau and Marlene Pappas both of Peoria, IL. He was preceded in death by one step-son Ralph Duane Miller in 2017.

John was a member of the All Saints Greek Orthodox Church in Peoria where services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 30, 2018. Rev. Dr. Ciprian Sas will preside. Visitation will be Monday, January 29, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. with Trisagion Prayers at 5:30pm all at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery in Washington. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be given to All Saints Greek Orthodox Church.
