John W. “Jack” Krisman, 77, of East Peoria, Illinois, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2026, at Carle Health Methodist Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois.

He was born on July 29, 1948, in Peoria, to the late John and Dorothy Gudaitis Krisman. He married Linda K. Faubel on November 24, 1973, in Peoria Heights, Illinois.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; daughters Jenny Veal and Lacey (Joe) Schwindenhammer, both of Washington, Illinois; and four grandchildren: Kyle Veal, Dylan Veal, Peter Schwindenhammer, and Arthur Schwindenhammer. He also leaves behind one sister, Janet Krisman, of Ft. Myers, Florida.

Jack was employed by the State of Illinois as a diesel traveling mechanic from 1976 until his retirement in 2007. He was a passionate “old” drag racer who cherished his beloved 1957 Chevy. As someone who loved classic and muscle cars, he eagerly anticipated his yearly trip to Biloxi, Mississippi, to experience the energetic atmosphere at “Crusin the Coast” car show. It was always a special part of his year, where he enjoyed marveling at stunning cars and sharing good times with his family.

At the request of Jack, cremation rites have been accorded. His family will privately celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington has been entrusted with cremation arrangements.
