John C. Barnwell

John C. Barnwell, 52, of East Peoria, passed away at his residence on October 23, 2022. A Memorial Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington. Cremation rites have been accorded. John was born on May 12, 1970, in Peoria, a son of Carl and Barbara (Rowland) Barnwell. He is survived by his parents of Bartonville; daughter, Carrigan Barnwell of Springfield; siblings, Dawn Barnwell of Peoria, Terry McWilliams of Peoria, Blake (Kristina) McWilliams of Bartonville, Misty (Ketrick) Brown and Troy Barnwell of Crossville, TN, Nadine Knee of Peoria and Cheryl Munoz of Peoria Heights; granddaughter, Maleah Barnwell; and biological mother, Raylene Collier. John was a concrete finisher. He enjoyed hunting, fishing camping and being outdoors. He collected coins and baseball cards. He loved kids and kids loved him. He was very family oriented and loved his family, especially his daughter and granddaughter. He was very giving and would help anyone. Memorial contributions may be made in John's memory to Jolt Harm Reduction or to Fight the Fight Against Addiction in Pekin.
