John W. Allen

John W. Allen age 81 of Washington, Illinois passed at 1:30am Saturday Feb. 25, 2012 at Aledo Health Care Center in Aledo, IL. He was born Oct. 18, 1931 in Eureka, IL, to John W. and Margaret (Baldwin) Allen. Surviving are his children Tracy Kellington and John (Lori) Allen both of Washington, John Allen of Eureka, Patricia Phillips of Lincoln, IL; and Daughter in law Donna Allen of Montana. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and one great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son Mike Allen. John was a pilot for the Army Air Corps during the Korean War and had worked in production for Continental Can. Member of Air Force Association, U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and many Aviation Clubs. He was of the Christian Faith. Cremation Rites have been accorded with a memorial visitation Thursday March 1, 2012 from 6pm until 7pm at Mason-White Funeral home in Washington. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Alzheimers Assocation Central Illinois Chapter.
