Joanne Weinstein

METAMORA - Joanne Weinstein, 82, of Metamora, IL passed away at 11:20 am on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Snyder Village in Metamora. She was born on February 23, 1934 in Peoria, IL to George and Theda (DeSpain) Trockur. She married Phillip Lee "Bud" Weinstein on September 14, 1957 in Peoria, IL. He survives. Also surviving are one son Brad (Lori) Weinstein of Metamora; two daughters Rhonda (David) Kiesewetter of Metamora and Colette (Bob) Lange of Germantown Hills; three grandchildren Phillip Thrush, Cailee (Ryan) Alderman, and Dalton Wiechmann; one great-granddaughter Emery Colette Alderman; and a host of step- grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother Jimmie John Trockur of East Peoria and sister Doralene (Frank) Talbott of Las Vegas, NV. Her parents preceded her in death. Joanne enjoyed music, baking, and cooking and also giving Bud a hard time. A Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 12:00 noon at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel with Pastor Gary Salm officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Metamora. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the American Diabetes Association.
