Jimmie Lee Kendall

With heavy hearts, we announce Jimmie Lee Kendall, 76, of East Peoria, IL, passed away at home on Sunday, February 15, 2026.

He was born on August 9, 1949, in Lompoc, California to Burton Lee Kendall and Betty Eugene Jolley, who later married Lyle Frank Behm, his step-father. Jimmie married Becky Sue Bishel on May 5, 1984.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Becky, who passed in 2007, mother and father, step-father, sister-in-law Judy Bishel, brother-in-law Gregory Greer, and brother-in-law John Cisco. 

Surviving are his son, Jake Lee Kendall of East Peoria, daughter Jessica (Joe) Walker and grandsons Remington and Declan Walker of Southaven, Mississippi. He has one surviving sister, Frances Cisco, and one step-brother, Lyle (Lori) Behm of Depue, and many nieces and nephews. 

He graduated from Limestone High School. Jimmie was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in Vietnam. He was a member of Sheet Metal Worker Local #1, where he served as Vice President, an Executive Board Member, a Health and Welfare Board Member, and he also served on the Negotiating Committee. He served as a Riverview Grade School board member and was a past member of American Legion Post 115 where he served as Sergeant of Arms, Chaplain, and board member. He was a member of the Midwest Gun Club and Peoria Skeet and Trap.

Cremation rites have been accorded. In accordance with Jimmie’s wishes, no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the Spring Bay Fire Department, 310 West Missouri Street, Spring Bay, IL 61611. Online condolences at www.masonfuneralhomes.com.
