On Sunday, September 4, 2022, Jerry Johnson, age 88, passed away with his loving wife, Joyce, of 65 years by his side.  He was born on December 28, 1933, in Peoria, Illinois, to Claude L Johnson and Helen Addison. On June 1, 1957, he married his only love, Joyce E. Hodge from Spring Bay, Illinois.

Surviving are his wife, Joyce (Hodge); their children, Kathy (Mark) Matlock and Laurie (John) Simpson; seven grandchildren, Nicole (Jason), Melissa (Dan), Brooke, Maggie, Robyn, Benjamin and Daniel; and four great-grandchildren, Aiden, Chloe, Leila and Riley.

The visitation will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022,  from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at First United Methodist Church, 116 NE Perry Avenue, Peoria, Illinois.
