Jeffrey "Jeff" C. Ribak

Jeffrey C. "Jeff" Ribak, 72, of East Peoria, IL, passed away at 11:42 am on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City, IL.

On November 27, 1949, Jeff was born in Milwaukee, Wi, the son of Jack and Shirley (Schroeder) Ribak. He married Susan "Diane" Bennett. He later married Judith Massaglia Heyder on May 23, 1992. She passed away on June 2, 2012.

Surviving are one son, Dean Ribak of Washington, IL; one daughter, Ginger (Andy) Light of East Peoria, IL; one sister, Jodie Artrip-Lemke of Mesa, AZ; six stepchildren, Jeff (Donna) Heyder of Washington, IL; Jill Ellis and Cathy (Semu) Mauluulu, both of Salt Lake City, UT; Dave Heyder and Adam Heyder both of Eureka, IL; Christopher (Katrina) Heyder of East Peoria, IL; and many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his stepfather, Milton Bloom.

Jeff worked at Caterpillar Tractor Company for 37 years, last working as a maintenance electrician. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Washington.

Jeff loved trains, fishing, traveling, cheering for the Green Bay Packers, dressing up as Santa Clause at Christmas, and spending time with his grandchildren. Jeff was a volunteer EMT and firefighter for NTFD for 15 years.

A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am, Thursday, March 3, 2022, at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington. Visitation will be from 9:30 am until his time of service. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery in Washington. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be given to a charity of the donor's choice.
