Jeffery Neil West, Jr., 40, of Pekin, IL, formerly of East Peoria, IL passed away at 5:05 am on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 in his home.
He was born on March 6, 1982 in Ashland, WI. Jeff married Deanna J. (Courtway) Smay, the love of his life, on August 14, 2021 in Germantown Hills, IL.
Surviving are his wife, Deanna of East Peoria; sons, Dominic West and Kason West both of Wisconsin, and Jayson "Mister" Smay of East Peoria; step-mother, Pamela West of Bayview Gardens, IL; in-laws, Bert and Connie Courtway of Bayview Gardens, IL; brothers, Johnathan "John" Pierce, Thomas "Tommy" Pierce, Robert "Robby" (Amanda) Pierce, Samuel "Sammy" Pierce, Alexander "Alex" Pierce, and JR (Alivya) Burcham; and sisters, Emily and Andrea. He was preceded in death by his father Jeffery Neil West, Sr., little brother Steffan Eastman, former wife and mother of his children Lindsey (Beyler) Wichmann, and Mildred "Mamo" and Floyd "Papo" Blake.
Jeffery was the head material analyst at Rivian in Bloomington, IL. He was so very loved by his Rivian family and Jeffery was very proud to be a part of his college building team. He absolutely loved his job!
Jeffery and Deanna didn't find each other until their early 30's but once they found each other they knew they were meant to be together. Jeffery told Deanna every day how much he loved her and that she was his dream girl. She always said he was silly. They were getting ready to celebrate their first wedding anniversary this August.
Jeffery lived for his family. His focus was always on his wife and children. He worked hard to give them everything, not just what they needed. Jeffery took on a big role in helping parent Deanna's significant special needs son, Jayson. He never complained and made sure Deanna was able to be a stay-at-home mom to take care of him.
Currently, Jeffery and Deanna were working on their new home and Jeffery was very proud of the accomplishments they had made for their family.
Jeffery loved working with electronic technology, especially computers and the nine Alexas in their home! He loved cars and motorcycles but his all time favorite car was his Magnum! He always talked about getting a new one.
