Jeanne was born to Joe and Elsie Ferrero (deceased) on August 23, 1941, in Peoria and raised in Roanoke, IL.   She is survived by her husband, of almost 58 years, Ron Buysee, who she married on October 24, 1964, and who she enjoyed dancing with for many hours at the Poison Apple. They have two surviving children; son, Joe (Joan) Buysee of Washington and daughter, Jenny Buysee Schisler of Peoria. She is also survived by two grandchildren; grandson, Seth (Haley) Schisler of Thornton, Colorado and granddaughter, Samantha Buysee of Oak Forest; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Steven Ferrero.

Jeanne worked for American Family Insurance as an agent for 32 years.  She was an avid golfer, who enjoyed being on the golf course. She had a hole in one at Arrowhead Country Club, where she was a member for 14 and a half years. She also enjoyed being a lifetime member of the Kickapoo Council of Girl Scouts and a charter member of Willow Hill United Methodist Church.

Jeanne had a lifetime of accomplishments. She graduated with honors from Sangamon State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Management. She was Camping Services Director at Camp Tapawingo in Metamora, President of NAWBO, President of the Peoria YWCA and spent many years writing for Peoria Woman Magazine. Jeanne was a 21 year survivor of breast cancer and was a chairman in 2015 for Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. She enjoyed Italy, Ireland, Wisconsin and California travels.

Cremation Rites have been accorded. There will be no services per Jeanne's wishes. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time.

A special thank you to Nora and Kay for the hours that they spent at her home and all the care and love they gave to Jeanne.  A special thank you to OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home, for the superb and compassionate care she received there in her final days.

In lieu of flowers, all memorial donations may be made to Kickapoo Council of Girl Scouts (Girl Scouts of Central Illinois) or Susan G Komen Peoria Affiliate.
