Jeanette M. McCloskey, 78, of Washington, IL, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2025, at Lacon Rehab and Nursing in Lacon, IL.
She was born on February 25, 1946, in West Frankfort, IL, the daughter of Andrew and Anna Butkovich Rumler.
Surviving are two daughters, Mindy (Kevin) Spahn of Washington, IL, and Kim (Brian) DePasse of Mackinaw, IL. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Ashley DePasse, Logan and Garrett Spahn, and three great-grandchildren, Jordyn, Haidyn, and Atlas. Further surviving are one brother, Rod (Linda) Rumler, of Walls, MS; three sisters, Carmelita Siler of Elkton, MD, Jacqueline Kail of Clearwater, FL, and Cecelia (Morton) Weir of Champaign, IL. Her parents, one sister, Margaret Rusnak, and one brother, Charlie Rumler, all preceded her in death.
In life, Jeanette enjoyed traveling with her family. Florida destinations such as Disney and Universal Studios were her favorite. She loved fresh air and sunshine. Nothing was more important than family to Jeanette. She lived her life with love, kindness, and integrity.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 2-4 pm on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at Wesley United Methodist Church in Canton, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be given to Sisters of St Francis, 2408 W Heading Ave, West Peoria, IL, 61604.
