Carol "Jean" Hibbard, 87, of Washington, IL, passed away at her residence on Friday, August 22, 2025.

She was born on September 24, 1937, in Peoria, the daughter of Lyle and Virginia Reynolds Collins. She married Donald Hibbard on May 24, 1958, in Peoria.

Surviving are her husband, their children Cyndi (Pat) Welch, Dana (Todd) Bodine, Todd (Sandy) Hibbard, and Amy (Chris) Lambert, all of Washington. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, four sisters, Jackie Meischer of Creve Coeur, IL, Judy Brooks of Sunnyland, Jill (Jim) Akins of Haywood, WI, and Joan (Gary) Heiser of Pekin.

She dedicated her time to food service at Illinois Central College and also embraced the role of a childcare provider. A proud member of the Side by Side choral group, she brought joy to every performance. Her heart belonged to the St. Louis Cardinals, and she found delight in shopping adventures and the magical anticipation of Christmas each year. Above all, she treasured the moments spent with her sisters and family, filling her life with love and laughter.

Cremation has been accorded. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, from 4 pm until 6 pm at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington. A private family inurnment will be at a later date at Glendale Cemetery in Washington. Memorials may be given to OSF St. Francis Hospice. Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington has been entrusted with arrangements.
