Jared M. Ward

Jared M. Ward, 49, of Metamora, IL passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, IL, due to an ice fishing accident.

He was born on November 16, 1975, in Peoria, IL, to William O. and Yvonne M. (DeBlois) Ward, Sr. He married Kristen M. Denham on August 27, 2007 in Eureka, IL.

Surviving are his wife, Kristen of Metamora; children, Noah, Logan, Madelyn, Oliver, and Penelope Ward all at home; parents, William and Yvonne Ward of Roanoke, IL, and siblings, William (Rebecca) Ward of Roanoke, IL, Eva (Jeff) Fehr of Tupelo, MS, Patricia (Jeff) Moore of Powell, OH, Carrie (Shawn) Meyer of Eureka, IL, Wendy (Mark) Borst of Hawthorn Woods, IL, Jesse (Tiffany) Ward of Metamora, and Matthew Ward of Washington, IL. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Jared was a packaging engineer at Caterpillar Tractor Company and a member of Christian Union Church. He was a loving and devoted father, brother, son, and friend. He had a brilliant mind and was always looking to learn more and loved sharing it with others.  He loved the outdoors, hiking, camping, canoeing, and fishing. He loved spending time with his family. Most of all His faith had grown and his love for his Father was everything to him.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at Christian Union Church with Reverend Gary Salm officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm, also on Sunday at the church.
