Janet M. Key

Janet M. Key, 78, of Metamora, IL passed away at 2:42 am on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born on July 16, 1938 in Washburn, IL to Lawrence and Mabel (Harms) Janssen. She married Jerry A. Key of Peoria Heights on April 3, 1970 in Washburn, IL. He survives. Also surviving are her sisters Emily DeVaul of Apache Junction, AZ, Joyce (Russ) Pifer of Largo, FL, and Mary Ann Hahn of Hendersonville, NC; and brother Jerry Dean Janssen of Edwards, IL along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Larry Janssen. Janet worked as a bookkeeper in the Peoria area for many years working for Allied Handling Equipment and the Peoria Journal Star. In accordance with Janet's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded with private burial of ashes held at a later date at Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Morton.
