Jane Woltzen Heiple

PEORIA - Jane Woltzen Heiple, 84, of Richmond, Minn., formerly of Peoria, died Wednesday, April 9, 2008 in Cold Springs, Minn. She was born in Peoria on Oct. 9, 1923, to Edward H. Woltzen and Emma Herschel. She married Frank C. Heiple Jr. on Aug. 15, 1943, at the San Antonio Aviation Cadet Center in Texas while he was in the Air Force flight school. She is survived by her husband, Frank; four children, Bee G. Evans of Minneapolis, Minn., Frank (Colette) Heiple III of Estacada, Ore., Edward W. Heiple of Moravia, N.Y., and Judd (Bonnie) Heiple of Peoria; eight grandchildren, Kerry, Kelly, Kimberly, Katty, Seth, Shem, Josh and Julie; and three great-grandchildren. Her parents; brother, Herschel Woltzen; son-in-law, Gerald Evans; and daughter-in-law, Ginny Heiple, preceded her in death. Jane attended Peoria schools, then went on to the University of Michigan, where she was a music major. She continued her love for music as an active member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church in Washington. She served in the choir for many years. As special music, her voice adorned many weddings and funerals in the community. She was also an active member of the local P.E.O. chapter. Although, with her family raised and at the age of 55 years, she returned to college to earn an LPN degree at Illinois Central College and worked at Proctor Hospital. For more than 40 years, Frank and Jane lived and operated Four Seasons Family Farm on the south edge of Washington, Ill. A service to celebrate Frank and Jane's life will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 4 p.m. at the Evangelical United Methodist Church in Washington with Pastors Bob DeBolt and Rev. Dr. Camilla Hempstead officiating. Family will receive friends from 2 - 4 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Cremation rites have been accorded with Mason-White Funeral Home assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be directed to either Soul Purpose Ministries or the charity of the donor's choice.
