James Ocie Williams

James Ocie Williams, 73, passed away at his residence at 4:00 am on Sunday, February 21, 2016. Jim was born on April 20, 1942 in Starke, Florida to Ocie and Gaynelle (Burchette) Williams. He met his wife, Pat, in 1987, and they were married on April 29, 1995 in Spring Bay. She survives and resides in Washington. Also surviving are his three children Lisa (Todd) Schofield of East Peoria, Glen (Sally) Williams of Washington, and Dayna Petersen of East Peoria; one step-son Josh Cupples whom resided with him; and seven grandchildren Taylor and Tanner Schofield, Sydney and John Williams, and Samantha, Samuel, and Sarah Sides. He was preceded in death by his father, Ocie Williams, and mother, Gaynelle Williams, and his only brother Larry Williams, and one son-in-law Mike Petersen. Jim retired from Carver Lumber where he was a truck driver and enjoyed all the contractors and carpenters he delivered lumber to. In his free time, he enjoyed talking with neighbors and working in his garage. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials may be given to TAPS, 100 Taps Lane, Pekin, IL 61554.
