James R. Craft

James R. Craft, 74, of Metamora, IL, passed away at 9:05 pm on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at his residence.

He was born on December 19, 1950, in Giessen, Germany, to Jim Reese and Lois Waunell (Cassidy) Craft. He married Janet R. Bureski (Eakle) on December 18, 2004.

Surviving are his wife, Janet of Metamora. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Elizabeth and Cheryl.

James was a U.S. Vietnam Marine Veteran. After serving in Vietnam and then an extended deployment in the European Mediterranean theater, he returned to the United States and settled in the Tulsa, OK area for many years before moving to Metamora for his twilight years. While in Tulsa, he worked as a purchase manager for a tool company. He greatly enjoyed listening to classic rock from the '60's and '70's and adored his pet friends over the years.
