Jake N. Loftus

Jake N. Loftus, 24, of Leroy, IL, formerly of Lowpoint, IL passed away at 9:55 am on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Carle Hospital in Urbana, IL. He was born on April 21, 1992 in Peoria, IL to Jason C. and Anita L. (Gebel) Loftus. Surviving are his parents Jason (Angie Hoerner) Loftus and Anita (Robert) Loftus Burris both of Leroy; sister Jillann "Nichole" Loftus and brother James C. Loftus both of Leroy; step-sister Jessica (Doug) Scott of Clinton and step-brother Rob Burris of Springfield; grandparents Dennis (Karen) Schmidt of Lowpoint, James (Linda) Gebel of Washburn, and Pete Loftus of LaPlace, LA; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and dog Leo. He was preceded in death by aunt Jill Duden and cousin Andrew Filson. Jake attended Oak Church of the Brethen in Lowpoint. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and role playing games. He was a huge Chris Farley fan and an avid Bears fan. He loved drag racing and was a fan of the 1980's Buick Regal Grand National. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 3, 2016 at 6:00 pm at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel with Reverend Charles Buegel officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until service time at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Jake N.
