WASHINGTON -Jacqueline L. Clements, 84, of Washington, passed away peacefully at 6:50 a.m., Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at the Apostolic Christian Home in Roanoke. Jackie was born on July 4th, 1930 in Moundsville, West Virginia to Jack and Mary (Padgett) King. Among those surviving are her five children, Connie Crawford of Carthage, TX, Doug (Karen) Cohen of Hopedale, Jake (Laura) Cohen of Edwards and Chris (Jean Kenney) Cohen and Craig (Mary) Cohen, both of Washington; one sister, Billie Stockstill of Bellvue; 16 grandchildren, Justin, Candace, Doug, Stan, Shannon, Andrew, Angela, Brandon, Sarah, Nick, Haley, Dustin, James, John, Joe and Kyla and 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her grandmother, Dessie O?Connell and son-in-law, Curtis Crawford. Jackie loved her family dearly, working two jobs most of her life to raise her five children on her own. She enjoyed fishing and listening to Elvis sing. In her later years, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren gave her lots of joy. She was of the Catholic faith and a member of St. Patrick?s Catholic Church in Washington. A private family service will be held to celebrate Jackie?s life and burial of cremains will be at a later date. Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington is assisting the family in arrangements. Memorials may be directed to American Lung Association in her memory.
