Jacqueline Beamer

EAST PEORIA?Jacqueline L. Beamer, 67, formerly of Chillicothe, passed away at 10:35 p.m., Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at Rosewood Care Center in East Peoria. Jackie was born on October 23, 1945 in Peoria to John and Lula (Pullen) Down. She married Stephen L. Beamer in Mossville on September 5, 1964. Steve died on August 31, 1994 in Peoria. Among those surviving are two sons, Michael (Kellie) Beamer of East Peoria and Robert Beamer of Chillicothe; six grandchildren, Megan (Mitch) Kellum, Justin Beamer, Brett Baize, Kyle Beamer, Drew Beamer and Kayla Beamer; one sister-in-law, Joann Down of Portland, Oregon and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Sue Eberle of Sparland. She was also preceded in death by her twin brother, Jerry Down and another brother, Robert Down. Jackie was a 1963 graduate of Dunlap High School and enjoyed keeping in touch with her high school classmates. When she was younger, Jackie was quite artistic and enjoyed painting with oil. She had been a hairdresser, but remembered more as being a proud mother and grandmother who cherished the time that she could spend with her grandchildren. Jackie was a member of the Journey Church in East Peoria and a former member of the Chillicothe United Methodist Church. A celebration of Jackie?s life will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at 4 p.m. at the Journey Church in East Peoria with Reverend Ron Stewart officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 2 to 4 p.m. prior to services and cremation rites will be accorded following services. Private burial rites will be held later at the family plot in West Jersey Cemetery in West Jersey, Illinois. Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington is assisting the family in arrangements. Memorials may be directed to the Journey Church.
