Jack R. Chavis, 85, of Chillicothe, IL passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.  Jack was born on January 9, 1939, in Knoxville, TN the son of Luther and Dollie Braden Chavis.  He married Bonnie Weaver of Washington, IL.

Surviving are his wife Bonnie of rural Chillicothe, four children Tina (Paul) Theinert of Olalla, WA, Tim Chavis of Lake Stevens, WA, Chris (Rhonda) Chavis of Phoenix, AZ, and Jackie (Keith) Miller of Gig Harbor, WA.  Also surviving are seven grandchildren.  Two brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.

While there will be no public services, Jack's family will privately celebrate his life. Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.
