J. Thomas Caldwell

WASHINGTON... Jesse T. "Tom" Caldwell, 76, of Washington, passed away at 8:55 p.m., Thursday, November 26, 2015 at UnityPoint Methodist Medical Center in Peoria. Tom was born on October 5, 1939 in Crawfordsville, IN to George and Marie Waldon Caldwell. He married Roberta Boales on March 30, 2003 in Arizona where they met. Roberta survives. Also surviving are his two daughters, Etta Caldwell of Kansas and Cindy (Tom) Ritter of Henderson, CO; two step sons, David Mann of Florida and Bryan (Donna) Mann of Illinois; two step daughters, Julie (Ronald) Rago of Illinois and Lorri Mann of Colorado; one special granddaughter, Liliana who is 9 years old and was the apple of her grandfather's eye and several loving step grandchildren. Tom was also preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and a mother-in-law, Wilma Boales, whom he had helped as a loving caregiver for many years prior to her death. He retired as an over the road truck driver for Nationwide. Tom also loved to fish and was a member of Kennel Lake Sportsman Club. Tom also had been active in Eureka Bible Church. A memorial service for Tom will be held at 3 p.m., Monday, November 30, 2015 at Mason Funeral Home, Germantown Hills Chapel with Pastor Tom Swanson officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service and cremation rites will be accorded.
