Irene Davidson, 94, of Germantown Hills, IL passed away at 9:30 pm on Monday, October 1, 2018 at her residence.  She was born on April 21, 1924 in Chicago, IL to Raymond E. and Thelma B. (Branson) Pruitt.  She married Leroy Z. Davidson on January 30, 1943 in St. Louis, MO.  He passed away on January 12, 2006.

Surviving are her daughter Kala Davidson and son Randall Davidson both of Germantown Hills; grandsons Timothy Pettijohn of Norris City, IL, Michael Pettijohn of Germantown Hills, and Paul (Victoria) Pettijohn of North Pekin; and five great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Jill Annette Davidson.

Irene worked as a label inspector for International Paper, retiring in 1986.  She was a member of El Vista Baptist Church in Peoria.  She enjoyed camping, reading, and travelling with her husband.

Cremation rites have been accorded.  Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, October 5, 2018 at Oakwood Cemetery in Metamora with Reverend Joey Watt officiating.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Wounded Warrior Project, 230 West Monroe Street, Suite 200, Chicago, IL 60606.  Online condolences at www.masonfuneralhomes.com.
