Iona B. Schaidle

Iona B. Schaidle, 90, of Metamora, IL passed away at 2:30 am on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Maple Lawn Homes in Eureka, IL. She was born on November 10, 1926 in Congerville, IL to Charles E. and Allie M. (Schrock) Schrock, Sr. She married Carl W. Schaidle, Jr. on June 26, 1945 in Peoria, IL. He passed away on January 11, 2014. Surviving are her children Diane M. (David) Cramer of Washington, IL, Carl J. (Paula) Schaidle, III of Metamora, IL, Rick A. (Donna) Schaidle of Manheim, PA, and Denise (Robert) Daly of Davenport, FL; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and sister Bernadine (Donald) Anderson of Fort Meyers, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, three sisters, and four brothers. Iona was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Metamora and their Altar and Rosary Society. Iona was very proud of the five generations of girls, including her great-great-granddaughter. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Metamora with Father Greg Jozefiak officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 am until mass time at the church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Metamora.
