I. Maxine Eichorn age 86 formerly of Carmen, IL, Washington, IL, and Spring Bay, IL, passed away at 6:42am Saturday August 11, 2012 at her sons residence in Lansing, IL. She was born July 1, 1926 in Ipava, IL to George and Sylvia (Jenkins) Huffman. She was married to Jerry Stewart and then to Lloyd Eichorn marring him in 1977 in Peoria, IL. He passed away in 2003. Surviving are three sons, Jerry "Mike" (Dawn) Stewart of Sunnyland, IL, Steve (Karen) Stewart of Alexandria, New York, Jack (Denise) Stewart of Lansing, IL.. Step Children, Mary Ann Eichorn of Washington, Dr. William (Patricia) Eichorn of Poway CA, and Allen Eichorn of E. Peoria, IL.. Grandchildren, Melanie, Andrea, Jaime, Jessica, Joseph, Jeremy, John, Nathan and numerous great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one step son Gary Eichorn, granddaughter Michelle Stewart and 2 brothers and 1 sister. Maxine had worked as a Head Cashier at Thompsons Food Basket in Sunnyland, Il, and Head Bookkeeper at Sunnyland Community Bank. She belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary and was a VFW Gold Circle Member. Member of American Legion Auxiliary Spring Bay Post #1115 and was a Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star. She was a avid reader, played Pinocle and was the Owner & Designer of Jewelery by Maxine. Graveside services will be at 2:00pm Tuesday Aug. 14, 2012 at Spring Bay Cemetery with Rev. Gary Salm officiating.
