WASHINGTON...Hermina F. Eichorn, 91, formerly of Washington, passed away peacefully at 9 p.m., Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Toulon Health Care Center in Toulon. Hermina was born on July 9, 1921 in Washington to William J. and Marie Kuehnle Hess. She married Lloyd Eichorn in Hannibal, Missouri on June 9, 1941. Survivors include one daughter, Mary Ann Eichorn of Washington; one son, Dr. William J. (Patricia) Eichorn of Poway, California; three grandchildren, Lisa Sykes of Charlotte, North Carolina, David Eichorn of Beaver, Utah and Nicole Norton of Poway; two foster brothers, Arthur Koth of Littleton, Colorado and Donald (Joanne) Koth of Bloomington, Illinois and Largo, Florida and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald W. Hess and Ronald R. Hess and two foster brothers, George Koth and John Koth. Hermina graduated in 1940 from Brown?s Business College. She worked as a secretary for the law firm of Swain, Johnson and Gard in Peoria and later for Peoria Plastic Company. Following her retirement she so enjoyed working in the ticket office of Conklin Dinner Theatre in Goodfield. She was a lifelong member of St. Mark?s Lutheran Church in Washington, where she was active in various areas of the church, including playing piano, teaching Sunday School and being a Sunday morning reader. A service to celebrate Hermina?s life will be heldat 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at St. Mark?s Lutheran Church with Pastor Dick Hanson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church. Mason-White Funeral Home is assisting family in arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Toulon Health Care Center, St. Mark?s Lutheran Church or The Alzheimer?s Association.
