Herman A. Miller

Herman A. Miller, 91, of Snyder Village in Metamora, formerly of Washington passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at Snyder Village.

He was born on September 26, 1930, in Peoria the son of the late George and Mary Eitenmiller Miller.  He married Doris M. Witte on December 10, 1950 where they enjoyed 71 years of marriage.

Surviving are his wife, one son Gary Miller of Minonk, IL; one daughter Pamela (Jeff) Tressel of Flat Rock, NC; one grandson Alex (Marissa Lykon) Miller and one great granddaughter Jacqueline Miller.  Also surviving are one sister Marian (Larry) Johnson of Glasford, IL. along with several nieces and nephews.

Herman worked for Caterpillar Tractor Co. for 36 years retiring in 1986. He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Washington.

Herman enjoyed golfing, square dancing, and woodworking.  He and Doris also enjoyed their time together on several cruises.

A graveside service is scheduled for 11:00 am Monday, June 6, 2022, at Glendale Cemetery in Washington.  Pastor Ron Miller assisted by retired pastor Jack Wilcox will be officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to honor Herman can be sent to Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1209 Kingsbury in Washington.  Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington is assisting with arrangements.
