Herman E. Davis, 84, of East Peoria, IL, passed away at 6:25 am on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL.

He was born on November 3, 1939, in Thomasville, MO to Jessa and Juanita (Pate) Davis. He married Audry Jean Chapai on November 12, 1960 in Peoria, IL. She passed away on December 16, 2022.

Surviving are children, Deborah (John) Davis-Peschong of Metamora, IL, Tommy (Becky) Davis of Spring Bay, IL, and Archie Davis of East Peoria, IL; three grandchildren, Rachel (Tim) Wilkins, Jessica Davis, and Cory Davis; five great-grandchildren, Kameron and Kaison Davis and Walker, Lyla, and Maisy Wilkins; and one sister, Etta Dowds of Hanna City, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Evan Davis, two brothers, and two sisters.

Herman was an electrical engineer at Enercon Engineering until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and loved football and working out. Herman worked his whole life and always provided for his family.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at Oakwood Cemetery in Metamora with Pastor Bob DeBolt officiating.
