Surviving are one brother Harold (Catherine) Kirchgessner of Metamora. One niece Linda (Bob) Murphy and one nephew Dennis (Iris) Kirchgessner. Herman was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Marie (Dan) Tullis. He worked at Caterpillar for 22 years, then purchased a farm in Quincy Il, area and farmed close to 30 years.
