Helen R. Steider

EUREKA?Helen Ross Steider, 99 years old, born in Wilburn, IL to Robert and Myrtle McDowell Ross, September 15, 1913 passed away October 7, 2012 at Maple Lawn Health Center in Eureka. She was preceded in death by her husband, Omer J. Steider, her parents, three sisters and two brothers. Surviving are her children, James (Janet) of Peoria, Omer David (Marlene) of Traverse City, MI and Janet (Bob) Wood of Bella Vista, AR. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. Helen was a member of the Morton United Methodist Church, Joanna Circle, D.A.R. and P.E.O. Chapter NB. Her life was devoted to her family. Helen was a loving mother and grandmother and on her 99th birthday she gave focused time to have conversation with each family member and was able to enjoy each of her grandchildren. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Maple Lawn Health Center for all their love and special care. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Maple Lawn Health Center. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial service.
